Statistical analysis of Qom formation chemofacies in the southwest of Saveh

Abstract

 
Summary In order to study the sedimentary geochemistry of the detrital facies of the Qom Formation in the southwest of Saveh (in the study area in the 100,000th Formehin map) in the deposits of the Qom Formation and to study the amount of major and rare elements (including strontium, manganese, calcium, etc.) in Section that are similar in age and the changes of chemical elements during the sedimentary sequence in order to understand their sedimentary conditions, 28 rock samples were selected from the two regions AB and CD, and 12 samples were selected from the existing samples to identify the tectonic position and tectonic function separator diagrams. and the identification of the origin of sandstone sediments, as well as the separation of calcareous sandstones, calcareous shales, limestones, and calcareous wares were examined.
The result shows according to the results obtained in the Qom Formation, the studied area has 9 chemical facies. The percentage of elements Cr/AL2O3 versus TiO2/Nb, the chemical investigation of the detrital unit of the Qom Formation in the study area shows that most of the sandstones are of sedimentary origin.
The rate of stone in the area of siliceous stone, argillaceous sandstone, siliceous clay rocks with a small amount of iron, siliceous clay rocks rich in iron with low dolomite content is.
Determining the mineralogy of sandstones and chemical separation of the detrital units of Qom Formation based on their chemical data, the studied area has 9 different facies with different mineralogy.
